ABOUT THE COURSE:

This is a 3-day in-person fundamentals class at Cat's studio in Orange County, designed for beginners and intermediate artists who want to learn the fundamentals of permanent makeup—specifically, the powder brow (ombré) and nano combo (hairstrokes + ombré) techniques. Class size is kept small and private to ensure students get individualized attention, hands-on guidance, and real-time feedback throughout every step of the process.

In this class, you will:
✔ Prepare to take on clients
✔ Practice hands-on exercises on mannequins and practice skins
✔ Learn how to properly set up for a procedure
✔ Live demonstration model(s) and option to add on a private 1:1 live student model day with Cat
✔ Starter Kit included for you to take on clients right away!

LIVE MODEL(S):
There will be one live demonstration model for each technique. Students will observe step-by-step how the full procedure is performed- from consultation and mapping to machine work and final reveal. Students will take home training videos and see Cat's method for capturing model content for social media.

1:1 LIVE STUDENT MODEL DAY:
Students are strongly encouraged to book an additional Student Model Day (separate booking, can be reserved now or after training). This is a 1:1 guided session with Cat where the student will simulate a real client appointment from start to finish with a live model. Depending on the student's skill level, they will not be performing the entire procedure independently. Instead, they will gain hands-on practice through sections of the brows under close supervision, focusing on proper depth, pressure, stretch, and pattern building. This session is designed to sharpen the technical eye, strengthen confidence, and develop the ability to troubleshoot in real time, so students learn not just how to do the technique, but how to see and feel when it’s done correctly. A one-on-one setting will allow the student to have more confidence working on all parts of the brow rather than second-guessing their work, as can often happen in larger group environments.

Starter Kit Includes:
Theory manual, machine, needle cartridges, starter pigments, numbing cream, ink cups, pigment rings, ink mixer, sticker rulers, shaping brush, concealer disposable blades, brow pencils, practice skins, caliper, baby wipes, and others!

Pre-requisite:
You must submit a Blood Borne Pathogen certificate before your training date. Details will be emailed after you register. 

Tuition Payment:
The commitment fee goes towards the tuition. The remaining balance will be due before or on the training day.

After Class Support:
Along with the support videos to rewatch online, students can access Cat's line to text/email questions and review work anytime, come to the studio for shadow dates and access to book additional 1:1 private model days with Cat to build your portfolio.
